> Contemporary and elegant finish
> Direct focus on the work of art
> No gleams, unlike the framed arts under glass
> Thin, light and a sure flatness
> Better weight/rigidity ratio than most of mounting supports
> Hanging system on the back for quick installation on the wall
> Favoured by artists, museums and modern art galleries
The mounting on Dibond® aluminium for exhibition of large art digigraphies is the ideal solution. The print is glued on an aluminium plate, confering it the necessary rigidity to be directly exhibited. The Dibond® is a patented product that consists in a mounting of a thin polyethylene sheet between two very thin aluminium sheets. This is the favourite device by artists for their exhibitions.
THE BENEFITS
Compared with the framed art, this aesthetically pleasing finish puts great emphasis on the work of art, unadorned, without glass gleams.
Among the various collage supports (polymer, PVC etc.), aluminium has by far the best rigidity/weight ratio, which is particularly noticeable on the large prints.
THE CUTTING MARGINS
The mounting on aluminium requires for its manufacture cutting margins. Thus, the exact dimensions will be inferior (a few millimeters less) to the chosen dimensions.
The manufacturing constraints lay upon the professional lab to place the print on a barely smaller plate and then, to cut around the frame on a few millimeters.
